"It's the warehouse, stupid!" - Unknown source

In this age of E-commerce, the rubber really meets the road in the warehouse. Streamlining warehouse operations is critical to maintaining a competitive position. Physical inventory tracking is the beginning of the process of making warehouse operations more efficient.

Accurate Data Systems has implemented many physical inventory tracking systems; from simple batch applications to wireless "real time" systems. Take a look at what we can do for you.

Batch Inventory Tracking Systems:

What inventory information do you need to collect?

User ID login and validation? Validate part numbers from a file? Check for duplicate scans? Allow for auditor review of scanned records? Allow for auditor quantity input to compare against recorded quantity?

What can we do for you?

We can write code for virtually any bar code reader with the edit checks you want, to collect the transaction records as defined by you (location, userid, part number, quantity, timestamp etc.) The collected records can then be transmitted, via our Visual Basic download program, to a PC for easy integration into a SQL table such as Access, a spreadsheet or other PC applications. We will load the programs into, configure and test the readers so that when you receive the equipment you will be ready to start. In addition, we will provide you with a CD with the Visual Basic application to load onto your PC. The key to a good batch physical inventory tracking system is simply for us to get to you accurate records in the format that you can use. See this PDF file for a sample specificationBatch Inventory Tracking Systems:

So, about how much will all of this cost?

Most simple batch inventory systems take no more than 2 days of programming at $1,200 per day. The current hardware costs are as listed in this PDF file. Ask us about discounts for larger quantities.

What if I want to go to a "real time" system?

Most readers can be upgraded to an RF device later or you can go to a wireless system today. The readers would communicate with one or more access points which are connected to your LAN. The readers can send and receive data to most SQL tables by using our middleware called Accurate Switchboard. Accurate Switchboard allows multiple readers to be connected to a SQL database at the same time. For more information about Accurate Switchboard click here.
